Rich's Website

I love the Wikipedia and use it just about every day.

How to access the Wikipedia faster in Firefox/Netscape:

  1. Go to the Wikipedia (such as the English version).
  2. Right-click inside the Search field where you would normally type a search term (on the left sidebar).
  3. From the context menu that appears, click Add a keyword for this search.
  4. Enter the name as Wikipedia and the keyword as wiki
  5. Click OK.

In your browser address bar, you can now type wiki followed by any search term you want (such as wiki Thanksgiving) and it will go right the Wikipedia and search for it.

On to the links:

All about Thanksgiving in the United States

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Thanksgiving_dinner
What’s the deal with the turkey and why is that the traditional food served on that day?

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Macy’s_Thanksgiving_Day_Parade
Want a list of every single big-huge-frickin’-balloon that’s ever appeared in this parade? No? Well, here it is anyway. :D

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Thanksgiving_Classic
FOOTBALL!

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Turkey_Day_Game
MORE FOOTBALL!

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Turkey_Bowl
EVEN MORE FOOTBALL!

And speaking of those bowls, every year I say “Well, yes.. I’ll be watching the Salad Bowl and the Toilet Bowl”. Yes I know.. VERY OLD JOKE. But it never ceases to amuse. :D

Have a good Turkey Day, all.

I didn’t realize you could that. That’s a heck of a lot easier than me trying to hack my own bookmark for certain searches.

Oh, and I already have wiki set to do a wikipedia search. :)
