Intel Core 2 Processors Performance Comparison Guide
“Specifications are all well and great, but can you really tell how much faster is one processor from another? Both Intel and AMD are trying to do just that with their model numbering scheme. But with over 30 SKUs, the Intel Core 2 family of processors has become a confusing bunch of numbers…”

Alienware m15x 15.4-inch Gaming Laptop
Alienware has really pulled out all the stops with this laptop, making it both visually appealing and packing some serious components inside to play the latest games. We’ve had the m15x for about a month now and we love it. Read on to see how powerful this machine is and how it will catch everyone’s attention at the next Lan Party you attend!”

Thermaltake Toughpower 1000 Watt Modular [power supply]
“Power supplies have moved from the ugly box in the computer that no one paid any attention to, to the heart and soul of modern enthusiast systems. So how do you pick from the vast selection of Power Supplies out there without getting a fancy housing and rotten guts? In today’s market you have to know your Power Supplies, the OEM manufacturer behind them if they use an OEM, and rely on past performance, word of mouth, and testing done on the PSU.”

I just read this article on Processor Comparison Guide
and I feel it didn’t tell enough. I know games are demanding but I don’t play games, and benchark test don’t turn me on. I would like to see a similar rating in bar chart form with all of the precessors reguardless of brand in one table in order of speed based on real program uses. I use a 2D CADD progrsm at work with file sises of 5 MB or more (sonetimes). I am shure they can find 3 or 4 other uses to test (large date bases) etc. Also they didn’t say how many motherboard platforms, chip sets or memory they used.
