If I had not have read your article, I would not have known I had an auto-lock feature with a 4-digit pin and the 0000 code to reset the pin. I did not find this information in their tutorial.I guess you could say,this is a missing link. The one that's CDMA is the LG501C model which is nearly identical. However I'd stay away from that model as it has no additional microSD storage, and it costs $10 more.
