One of the de facto standard movies in every geek’s movie collection is Tron. One of the most exciting scenes from that movie is of course the Light Cycle race:

All movie vehicles whether prop or computer-generated usually find some way of making their way into real life…

…and now the Tron cycle is a real, street-legal vehicle.

It looks very, very uncomfortable to drive.

It sounds nothing like the actual light cycles from the movie, but that’s okay.

One of the options available for the bike is to use an iPad for the gauge panel. It’s an unusual application for the iPad tablet, but hey, it works.

On final note, Tron cycles I can deal with, but if I ever saw a Recognizer flying through the air, that would scare the hell out of me.
