Turning off AutoComplete

One of the more annoying features found in Windows is the AutoComplete function that happens to show up exactly where you do not need it to. If you are one of the people that hates the autocomplete drop-down box showing up whenever you type a file name in a “Save As” dialogue, there is a nice way to fix this. Go to Start -> Regedt32 -> HKEY_CURRENT_USER\ Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\AutoComplete and create a new DWORD named “Autocomplete In File Dialog” whose value is equal to “0″ and close the registry editor. Upon your next login, you will no longer be pestered by AutoComplete in file “open” and “save-as” dialogues.
