If you want to turn off autoplay on your CD drive so that nothing automatically boots when you insert a cd, then here are the quick steps you need to do:
1) “Go to My Computer”
2) Find the CD drive that you want to disable autoplay on and right click on it.
3) Click on “Properties”
4) When the window opens, click on the “Autoplay” tab
5) Select “Take No Action” and hit OK. This will set the drive to not autoplay the CD.
Note: You can also customize what happens when you put each different kind of CD in doing this same thing. The only change you would make is in step 5, where you would instead choose what the happens when you enter the certain CD (music, DVD, data, etc.) and not the “Take No Action” option.
