Ah, the wonderful world of not-yet-official (i.e. “development”) OS releases. In this case, Ubuntu “Hardy”.
Daniel Robitaille has reported (with screenshot) that in “Hardy” Ubuntu there is no way to select a region in your Localization preferences. Yes, this is a small bug but an important one and will be attended to in due time.
For those of you out there that dare to walk on the wild side with development-phase operating systems, you can check out all the quirks for Ubuntu at https://launchpad.net/ubuntu
Information is there for all issues with other Ubuntu releases. Support is offered all the way back to v6.06. Versions prior to that are officially classified as obsolete. If you notice something strange/odd/whatever going on in your Ubuntu installation, Lauchpad is a great place to start because whatever you’re encountering might already be listed there. And if it isn’t you can report a bug easily.
