A feature which has been added to Google Docs recently is the ability to upload files of any type, not just documents. At the time of this writing, you have the ability to upload files up to 250 MB in size. Additionally, you can create folder structures to organize your files and documents.
This essentially becomes a personal FTP site, without all the hassles of FTP. I previously used my Gmail drafts to upload files to myself when I did not have a USB drive handy, but Gmail imposes a size restriction much less that 250 MB.
Is anyone going to take advantage of this feature of Google Docs?

I probably will be using this. I’m always finding myself wanting to get a file back to my home machine, or to my work machine, and this is easier than remembering my flash drive sometimes.
Yikes, your company allows that? I would be careful about doing that with anything sensitive. For all we know, this could be just another way for them to target ads.
So basically Google Docs is the new Yahoo! Briefcase that was recently closed down.
Looks like Google is looking to grab market share from file hosting websites as well. I believe the files can be made public? If that’s the case it would prove to be better than file hosting services like rapidshare as there is no wait time involved.
