PCMech reader, Mary, wrote in via our tip form with the following:
I like to keep things “in house”…still don’t feel comfortable throwing much info/docuements/photos out to web sites but I have found this neat site (makeuseof.com) titled CreatePDF (http://www.createpdf.in/) It is wonderful if you want to print a website in PDF and for the most part keep links intact. That’s one area where most of the download PDF’s fall short as far as I can determine. Sure does save on ink.
So, we checked it out.
CreatePDF is indeed super easy. It starts out with a Google-like interface – just a form input in the middle of the screen.

So, I typed in “www.pcmech.com” (of course). Sure, enough, it makes a PDF. That said, it isn’t exactly a pretty PDF. In my case, it didn’t keep links intact. Not only that, but it highlighted those links in poopy brown.

Where something like this could come in handy is when trying to take an article off a site and turn it into a PDF.
Obviously, there are other ways to do this, but this is a quick, down and dirty little tool to keep in mind, should you have a use for it.
