However I purchased my unit from Dish Network since I subscribe to their satellite service and their converter had an analog passthrough feature. This allows me to view analog channels that have not switched to digital yet without disconnecting anything.. a nice feature. But the best thing was I discovered by accident that I could perform almost all remote functions with my satellite remote and I never have to pick up the remote for the converter box. How lucky can you get? The instructions, however, failed to mention this feature.. only good if you have a Dish Network satellite system and a Dish Network converter box..
