Much like new OS and browser releases, I like to keep tabs on the features available in the latest versions of Microsoft Office. So when Office 2010 was officially released earlier this week, I took a look at the new features available.
Overall, there is nothing I see which makes me want to upgrade from 2007. Currently 2007 natively supports the XML document formats, integrates wonderfully with Sharepoint and I have adjusted to the ribbon and absolutely love working with the styles. Office 2010 adds a lot of collaboration and organization features which seems to be the direction a lot online office suites are going.
Microsoft Office remains the standard for business use (OpenOffice is great for home/student/basic business needs, but let’s face it Office is the superior product), but unless you running a version other than 2007 I don’t see a compelling reason to upgrade.
Has anyone taken the plunge on Microsoft Office 2010? If so, what do you think?

Yes, I now have Office 2010 because I bought Office 2007 two months ago at a discount price that included a free upgrade to Office 2010. I moved up from Office XP (2002).
Thanks for the great coverage of the new Office 2010! I just wanted to stop by and let everyone know that you can win a free copy of Office 2010 through our 'Win 2010' contest- just swing by our Facebook page and let us know how you will 'Make it great' with the new Office 2010. Feel free to send me any questions you might have about the contest or Office 2010, I would be more than happy to help.
Thanks,

Well, there was something what make me to move away…upgrade price discontined. I found Kingsoft Office 2010 to be a good replacement for older Microsoft Office 2000. Got it here: http://binarynow.com/products/kingsoft-office/
