As you have probably heard by now the next Windows release, “Windows 7″, is slated to be released sometime later this year (although my guess is it will probably be pushed to next year). Regardless, there is currently a lot of information available on the web regarding the upcoming release so I thought I would pass along a couple of good links so you can get an idea of what to expect:

- What You Should Expect from the Windows 7 Beta
The first thing you will probably notice is it looks a lot like Windows Vista. Supposedly, Windows 7 is built on the Vista core which, speaking from experience since I am a Vista user, is a very good thing. The Vista core is just as, if not more, stable and reliable than XP.
Of course, there will surely be a lot of ‘goodies’ included with the OS as the trend now (from both Microsoft and Apple) is to cram as much into a release possible. This aside, I see no reason why Windows 7 will not be a solid release.
