I have absolutely no issues with full-screen video using WinAMP, nor do I have any of the issues you mentioned; they seem to be exclusive to your computer.

There are so many free flv players, and at the point of writing this I am in the process of looking for a good one. Unfortunately, despite trying many, I'm still not satisfied. I can say for certain that Windows Media Player Classic is NOT good at playing flv files downloaded from Youtube. Try playing it in full-screen mode and it looks like the picture is melting. Now compare that with full-screen mode of the same video on Youtube. Youtube quality wins every time - smoother, more stable.

FLVPLAYER is another example of poor quality, but this time it's pixellated and tends to stress the processor in full-screen mode, leading to stuttering. Prone to poor AV sync. Very buggy. It comes in various guises, including Aunsoft.

VLC Player - another one with poor 'melting-effect' quality in full-screen mode.

Sothink FLV player - similar poor quality to Media Player Classic but lacking control options.

Following the suggestion here about Winamp, I tried it (v5.55). How could you recommend this cluttered piece of bloatware? I selected full-screen mode and got the small picture in top left corner. I right-clicked to increase the size but could only get it up to half of full-screen size and I had to shut the whole program down to get back to the desktop! Terrible! How the hell can something have been around so long and be so buggy?

Before recommending a media player I suggest you try it in full-screen mode first.
