If you make extensive use of Windows Explorer to move/copy files, a tool you might want to take a look at is Windows Double Explorer.
Windows Double Explorer manages two or more Windows Explorer in one application. Also you can add your favorite folders with drag and drop to the toolbar for quick access.
Not only does this tool allow split pane views, it supports multiple tabs in each pane which can eliminate the need to have several Windows Explorer windows open at once. The only downside is this tool is only supported on Windows 7.
Not too much else to say as the functionality and screenshot is pretty straightforward. However, this free tool is definitely something you might find interesting.
