If you have decided to make the upgrade and have several PC’s in your house, the Windows Vista Family Upgrade Deal is probably going to be the most economical choice.
The deal works like this:
- Purchase a retail full or upgrade copy of Windows Vista Ultimate Edition.
- Purchase two additional copies of Windows Home Edition Premium (upgrades)Â for only $49.99 each (at the time of this writing).
This way you can have all the toys one of your machines and complement it nicely with two premium editions. Of course your “other” machines will need to be capable of running Windows Vista as well has have a licensed copy of Windows 2000/XP already installed to qualify for the upgrade.
If you plan on upgrading all your computers, this is definitely worth looking in to.
