I made mention last week that if you were running XP illegally, you could still get Windows 7 by buying Vista, then buying the Windows 7 Upgrade and the total cost would be around $138.
NewEgg now offers free Windows 7 coupons with certain Vista license purchases.
The cost now? $109.99. With free shipping. This is something that wasn’t available last week, but now it is.
This is $90 less than buying Windows 7 Home Premium which starts at $200.
You wanted a better price? You got it.

Why not focus on those of us who do not pirate software, I know it is out there but I think the main point of your post is getting low cost upgrades.
There isn’t a focus on pirated software. It would be naive to think that the entire population of Windows users are running legit copies of XP or Vista. The article is quite obviously aimed at everyone, but it’s usually those running pirated copies of XP or Vista that don’t like the price, so they will opt for the free/cheapest alternative. So rather than pretend as though piracy doesn’t exist, why not try and nudge said ‘pirates’ in the direction of running a legitimate and legal OS on their PC’s?
Even though my copy is legit, thanks for the heads up Rich!
