There is a tweak which can help speed up your broadband internet connection if you are using Windows XP Professional.
- Click Start, Run.
- Type “GPedit.msc” and press enter.
- Expand the “local computer policy” branch
- Expand the “administrative templates” branch
- Expand the “network branch”
- Highlight the “QoS Packet Scheduler” in the left window
- In the right window, double-click the “limit reservable bandwidth” setting
- On the setting tab, check “enabled”
- Change the “Bandwidth limit %” to 0
- Close and reboot.
