Write a Guest Post for PCMech

Posted Feb 23, 2008 by David Risley

I’d like to do something a little different on PCMech. I would like to extend an invite to PCMech readers to write a guest post for PCMech. This would be a great opportunity to share something with the PCMech audience and it would be great to get some different viewpoints from our readers.

What I’m Looking For

I’m looking for a few things:

  • All submissions must, of course, pertain to something current or practical from the world of technology. Want to share how you fixed a particular problem with your PC? Want to review a product? Want to write an editorial about a tech issue? Have a cool tip to share?
  • Keep posts to a reasonable length, but we do not have any strict requirements.
  • You do not have to be an experienced writer. We will need to make sure your post is readable and meets our quality guidelines, but this is open to absolutely anybody.
  • Please do not overdo your own self-promotion. I welcome you to mention what you do and link to your own website in your post. I am willing to include a short byline in your post about yourself.
  • The content must be exclusive and not published anywhere else.

How To Send It To Me

Simply write up your post in Word or HTML and email it to me. You can send the post directly to my email address: drisley@pcmech.com. Please include, with your post, your name and a short byline about yourself. If you would like, you can submit a small picture of yourself. That’s up to you. If any images should be part of your post, please remember to attach them to your email.

My Hope

I hope to bring some new voices to PCMech, and perhaps some new viewpoints. We have a diverse community of computer users here at PCMech, and I know full well that the pool of knowledge out there is vast - much wider than Rich and I could ever produce alone.

So, this is an opportunity to share something with thousands of people here on PCMech.

I hope to hear from you soon!

PCMech Highly Recommends...

The Hacker's Nightmare is a full 500+ pages of valuable content. It has plenty of diagrams and illustrations and is broken down into small sections with easy step-by-step procedures. This is what I like about this book. It is powerful information that everybody needs, but it doesn't read like a boring computer manual. LEARN MORE
