As you probably know, there are tons of free photo library and editing applications out there. That said, here is another one to take a look at: Photoscape. From what I can see, there is nothing really innovative about this application, however it offers a strong set of features, including:
- Editor: resizing, brightness and color adjustment, white balance, backlight correction, frames, balloons, mosaic mode, adding text, drawing pictures, cropping, filters, red eye removal, blooming
- Combine: Make one photo by attaching multiple photos vertically or horizontally
- Animated GIF: Make one animation photo with multiple photos
- Screen Capture: Capture your screenshot and save it
Some of the features above you might have separate applications for (screenshots) with this program may eliminate the need for.
Of course, Photoscape is free and is definitely a ‘contender’ in the photo editing applications which are available.

So how does this app compare to Picasa? I’m looking for a decent photo app and both look good but I would like to here your thoughts/ opinions about it. Thanks.
Both are free, so try them both and stick with what you like.
