You Will See More Internet Advertising In Political Campaigns

Although you may read this and think "Why didn’t someone use this advertising route sooner?", political campaigns are involving more internet advertising these days. As an example, the candidates in the races for both governor and lieutenant governor of North Carolina bought advertising on..

wait for it..

Google.

Actually this isn’t anything new to the Tar Heel State because the State Treasurer campaign has been running Google ads for several months.

In true mudslinging fashion, ads pop up not only for candidate-specific searches but also for sites criticizing a rival candidate as well.

Funny that.

And if anyone was wondering why anyone would buy internet advertising in the first place, well.. the answer is fairly obvious.

It’s cheap and it works.
