I liked your article a lot Mr.Menga . I feel if people are slightly paranoid about spammers and hackers then, just create A Dummy email account . you would only use it for the IM system so even if you got spammed or hacked it wouldn’t really matter that much

No. Microsoft, AOL and Google all have very strict policies about shared information. On sign-up for for any there isn’t any shady hidden “We’re gonna share your info with everybody” nonsense. The most you would see is one checkbox at the end which can be easily unchecked concerning the sending of promotional offers.

Wouldn’t using an email address as user name open you up to all sorts of spam?
