Is it possible to lock a workgroup in a way that a user can not get to other computer in the group without changing anything in each computer?

I'm on a friends computer at the college. One of the guys in the dorm made a video for a class and needs it transfered to the other machine in the room so he can put it on a disk. i planned on just using the network and transfering the file but I can't get to the workgroup. As far as I know there is no way to lock the netwrk like this without a server anyway, and a workgroup has no server. They don't need to login to a server, computers or anykind of login at all.

Any ideas?
