I have 2 XPH computers networked through a router. They were working when I transferred a large file from one comp to the next. But now when I try to connect to the other comp I get a password box.

These are XP Home. The user on the other comp doesn't have a password neither does the admin of the machine. I've tried admin and blank and all that.....so what is the password it's asking for?

From the first machine to the second it doesn't ask for password??
