Actually it depends on the CPU you're using and your cooling setup. Some CPUs run hotter than others...some run cooler. My PIII 1GHz will run about 4 to 8 degrees C higher than the motherboard temp. My P4 2.8C will run about 2 to 4 degrees C higher than the motherboard temp. I've seen some Athlon T-Birds run over 10 degrees C higher than the motherboard temps.
You really can't generalize when it comes to temps...too many variables involved.
