D-Link & Verizon DSL

Need help.

I want to connect 2 PCs to a wireless router that connects to a Verizon (westell 6100?) dsl TA.

It was suggested to me to use a D-link wireless router.

Tell me if I have this idea right.

I will install wireless NICs on both PCs
(use the software to configure the nics, eg, channels; tx rate etc.
Since I will be using both through a router, Use infrastructure mode
configure them to tcp/ip (guessing this will already be there by default.)

I will hook the TA to the router.

Then I will open I.E. and type the routers IP into it.

From what I have been told the router does all the rest of the configuration.

Is this right...sounds too easy.

Both PCs are Dells running XP home.

I plan on doing this this week end.
