i use an 80 wire cable which came with my disk drive. i connected it to IDE2 (on my motherboad) and i tried IDE1 also, which is red (i know it's for the HDD though). my cable has black, blue, and grey ends. i plug the blue one into the mobo, black to the disk drive, and the grey one is unused. i only have one disk drive and it's jumpered to MASTER - ::[:]
