alrighty, this is weird... i tried Cable Select and it doesn't power up. but again, if i pull out the IDE cable, it works. By this point, i would definately think it's defective, but my friend's PC is at my house, so i connected my drive the same exact way, booted up the computer, installed it, and it works perfectly fine. should i just exchange the drive or maybe if i did, i'd have the same problem again? if the drive didn't work in another PC, i would definately know it's defective, but that's out of the question.
