Okay. The 5360 is a straight bridge modem. Connect it to the router, connect the router to your PC. Do a hard reset on the modem like this - unplug the power to the router, find the reset button, hold it in with a paperclip, plug in the router while holding the button in and keep holding the button for 30 seconds. Reboot your PC and open a browser, surf to
http://192.168.1.1 - leave the login name blank, the password is
admin .
On the main setup page, choose PPPoE for connection type, enter your username and password (in
username@sbcglobal.net format), set it to Keep Alive, and save the settings. You should be all set. You do NOT want to install any of the SBC connection manager software on the computer or set up a broadband connection - with a router it's a straight standard TCP/IP network connection. If you have the connection manager installed, uninstall it. If you have a broadband connection already installed in network connections, uninstall it. All you need is the "local area connection".
