I remember reading last year about this...You hook it up via the vid card...that cable goes to a box which also hooks to the pc via USB and then you hook 2, 3, 5 monitors to it... the software is loaded to the pc which controls the box....you could either have the same view on all monitors or span it across them...the price wasn't at all bad...I think a couple hundred bucks for all...

Similarily, for under 200$ you can get a 6600GT with dual monitor capabilites, and then there is no need for an external box.
