I actually picked up a new desktop set today, the
MS laser 6000 set. The mouse buttons are a bit on the soft side, but I'm really liking the keyboard.
Some of the Logitech offerings are also pretty decent. MS and Logitech offer pretty competetive products so it's going to be hard to say which is better; it's all about your preference. Battery times are actually pretty equal to, but it's between AA which you need to replace or recharge (ok if you have AA handy) or rechargeable built in like what GLC suggested.
