If you're just needing to get the drive door open, there's a manual way to do that (you may know this already). On the front bezel, usually right below the drive tray door, there's a tiny hole (not the headphone jack). Unfold a paperclip and you can push it into that hole and manually move the gear that controls the tray movement. Sorry if this wasn't what you were asking. I've seen drive trays get locked in for no real reason at all and this method works to get them going again too.
