The above was a small speech made by Yamamoto when he learned that Japan made no declaration of war before the Pearl Harbor attack.
"I can gurantee we can keep the Americans busy for 12 months, beyond that I offer nothing"

The above was said when Yamamoto was asked what would happen if America entered the war and the plans for Pearl Harbor were set in action.
"The Americans are a proud and just peoples. Thier industrial might is awsome. I have schooled and worked umongst the Americans and should Japan go to war with the Americans, I fear they will be our most formidable foe.
