I must agree AVG for Linux does seem kinda un-necessary. I think there is a chance that if Linux were mainstream you might see more virus. I won't go so far as to claim Linux is virus proof, but the fact that a large portion of the web runs off of Linux based servers shows that Linux sure is pretty stable.
