sound card woes Help!

Please see page 2 for my build info.Got the new leadtek gforce 2 mx video card installed without a hitch. Then went on to install the soundblaster live value sound card and ran into problems.I did an install first with the cd that came with the card but due to issues the card has with the via southbridge architecture the card didnt work. I expected this due to cautions from glc,and updated with the 3.0 version software from the web site.Midway through the update,a windows blue screen error popped up and said I needed to do a windows reinstall to fix the problem.I finished loading the update and the card began to work.So I then tried to do a reinstall of windows 98 se to rectify that problem. It went smoothly until near the end when a blue screen fatal error popped up and everything froze.Ive tried this several times and it does the same thing. The computer seems to run normally now except for a DEVLDR16 error that pops up after Ive been online for 45 minutes to an hour. This error can not be closed out and stays on the screen no matter what unless I reboot. Then It is ok for another hour or so then pops back up.Any ideas for a fix?
Thanks in advance.
