Hey Dr.Z I appreciate the help.I had to finally delete all traces of the soundblaster on the HD and do a re-install of windows to clear things up.I could then do an install of the soundblaster live value with the provided CD.It seems they are now putting the updated version 3.0 software with their latest cards so the download at the creative site is not necessary.Thanks again,ric.
