You're playing Russian roulette with an expensive piece of equipment. If you want to throw it away, you can always send it to me.  I will not turn it down. This is one of those things that something bad may never happen, but conventional wisdom says it will. The P4 motherboards are very particular, from what I understand. The Voodoo 5 will not even run on them, because of voltage issues; I read that in a voodoo forum. If it doesn't want to accept a video card because of energy issues, I can only imagine what you are toying with, my friend.
