hey gerodan, I also play BF2 and I have a Pentium 4 2.8E with a ATI X850pro 256MB system and if I have all the eye candy on it does get a bit choppy during game play. The celeron CPU you have there is not an ideal gaming chip. If you want to stick with an Intel stay away from Celerons if you want more performance.

As far as RAM speeds go this will be decided by the CPU. The front side bus (fsb) speed is on the CPU will determine what kind of RAM you will need and looking up what your motherboard can support is also a good idea.
