Ok, I've seemed to get it working again. I started uninstalling programs and ran across a program in my add/remove programs list (via CCleaner) called Overland... and a second one 'overland' (lowercase). I uninstalled these and it seems to have fixed my problem. Of course, only time will tell. But I can see my submenus and I don't get an error when closing down the device manager.
Has anyone heard of Overland?
