Thanks. I messed around with the router config settings, and it ended up that you were right. The DNS Address should have been set to get automatically from ISP. After a few ping attempts and attempts at opening the IE window, I was finally able to get ethernet cable-connected internet from the router setting the MODEM to bridged mode.

The problem I want to address now is the wireless issue. While the corded desktop does get connection, none of the laptops are receiving wireless signal. I do (temporarily) have SSID broadcast turned on, and (temporarily) disabled any WEP/WPA encryption - defaults from a recent router hard-reset. I have set the Region (USA) and the channel. I would think any PC should be able to pick up on the signal, but unfortunately, nothing is. Any suggestions here?
