What inputs does your monitor have? ou might be able to get a converter from RCA to something your monitor can handle. But sadly running a console into a TV Tunner doesn't work all that well. There is a good few second lag that makes it imposible to use. I had the same idea of running my PS2 into my home theater PC, but ya it doesn't do it.
