I'm running Beta2 with mostly the default services, a firewall, the Vista version of "Windows Defender", and avast! antivirus on a modest system with a Barton 2600+, a 64mb Ati Radeon 7500 (no Aero here! - or gaming), 1gb of system memory -- and it's pretty snappy. Loads quickly, runs Office programs with good speed. I've noticed that the baseline memory usage is over 512mb before anything other than the services & security programs are running - so I would imagine for any serious work beyond the average Office work (heavy multitasking, or any photo/video editing [Photoshop/Premiere]) -- it would be good to have at least 2gb of system memory.
