I'm aware that the chip I have, the X2 4400+ has two versions. An 89Watt version and a 110Watt version.
One has a max temp of 65C and the other is 70C.
I don't know which I have though and don't know how to find out. If it is the 65C version then I am worried that I sometimes get very close to that temp.

Maybe things have changed since the last time I checked, but both Intel and AMD list specs at max wattage. That's the upper operating limit. I haven't seen either giving a "recommended" temp. In
therory, you should be able to run up to the max without problems (I'd never do it, of course).
