You should read the whole review. That person was talking about a different pad that didn't get along with the G7. All the reviews I saw said it worked great with the G7.

Quote:
Pros: Plenty of width, surface very similar to normal cloth pads which in my case, seems to give me more control (coming from an ex-Thunder 9 rough user). Nice feel on the palm.

Most importantly for me, it works perfectly with the Logitech G7 laser.

Cons: Height of the pad could use another inch or more. Pad seems thicker than normal cloth and most certainly it's thicker than plastic pads. Because of the thickness, it rubs on your wrist, which may eventually cause the cloth surface to fray (no finished edges like plastic pads). Image on the pad is a bit diffused and fuzzy.

Someone else mentioned the smell of this pad.....believe it. Major stink, no joke.

Other Thoughts: Overall, I like the pad. Although I would have been perfectly happy with my Thunder 9 rough, but it doesn't get along with the G7.
I never noticed a smell, and if there is one it will definitely fade within a week or 2.
