Yes if its a higher DPI mouse that will give it a higher sensitivity. My friend has a Razor mouse that is 1600 DPI and we both have problems with it because it will jump all over if you move it too fast expecting it to act like a normal mouse.

Usually if you do a quick google search of your mouse you can find the complete specs, and what DPI it is.
