just type : ipconfig /all at command prompt and you will see IP configuration .
Their you will see the IP address of your router.

At command prompt, type ping and type the routers ip address after ping command.
don't forget to give space between ping and routers ip address.

if you see "request time out" in response , then their is problem with your connection.
