Well, the dreaded night came and went. There were hundreds of thousands of people on the Strip checking out the fireworks and just partying down.
Inside the casino the place was emptied for about 45 minutes, including midnight, giving us staffers a chance to wish each other a Happy New Year's during the lull. For being the busiest night of the casino calendar it went very smoothly. I didn't get flummoxed once, just had to juggle a few tasks at once a couple times is all.

And yes, they did come around and serve us champagne! Can you believe it? It was a small portion but it did feel good to do at midnight. Only in Vegas....
