It may have been off topic but the classic cost issue is no longer the case as long as you are looking at processors that are $180 and higher. Core 2 Duo has rewritten the book that's pretty much been the case for the past few years. Other than that it's personal preference and always has been. I was just asking a question, not trying to start a debate. Intel processors on non-Intel chipsets are not stable in my opinion anyway and i'm a big Intel fan.
