It is very simple to install Windows. Since it is an Upgrade version, you can do a clean install but will need a copy of Windows 95 so the upgrade can determine you have a legit copy to upgrade from. Other than that, it is a perfectly normal install.

If it is Win98SE, the CD is bootable, just make sure the CD-ROM is checked as one of the bootable drives in the BIOS. Else, if it is Win98FE, you will need a disk with CD-ROM drivers. This can be done with the Win98 Start Disk, or a boot disk of your own devising, or you can get one off the network, like the "Ultimate Boot Disk." There is a boot disk on the network called CDGOD or something like that which has drivers for many, many CD-ROMs. I do not know what is on your Acer recovery disks. They might do the job, or they might not. The thing about most of those boot disks is they run a bunch of programs you do not need, scandisk, ramdrive, etc. From there, it is the same setup.

So, copy of Win95 and a CD-ROM bootdisk if it is Win98FE. Installing Windows is a piece of cake, seeing as how they make you do it every six months to keep it fresh.
