Like 21" CRT or higher if you are going all out. And, if cash is even less of a problem, a 19" or even 21" TFT would be better. And, if resources are approaching infinity, get a huge plasma display. The monitor I wanted was the one that used displacement parallax illumintation, or something akin, to create 3d images without googles. It was featured here at

By the by, if you go the SB route for sound, the Audigy looks promising. When they start writing games for it, I hope you will be able to tell the difference.
