I went to the website
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/314060, downloaded the guided help program and let it do the work. It solved the problem & both drives are up and running, and are reconized as drives e & f as before. Evidently this problem must happen quite a bit. I definitely THANK you all for your help, as I am a novice when it comes to computers. Some things I can do & other things I'm in over my head. THANKS!!
